The Joplin Area Chamber of Commerces Leadership Joplin program was awarded the Programs & Campaigns Award of Excellence at the Chamber of Commerce Executives of Missouri (CCEM) annual association meeting. Leadership Joplin is in its 32nd year, and over 680 participants from area businesses and organizations have graduated. Applications for the 2016 class of Leadership Joplin will be accepted in late November. For more details contact the chamber at (417) 624-4150.

Also at the meeting, Ginger LaMar, Joplin Area Chamber of Commerce director of member services & development, was elected CCEM president for 2016. Victoria Brees of the Columbia Chamber of Commerce will serve as vice president.
