New academic position for MSSU library director
December 05, 2014

Dr. Wendy McGrane, pictured, has been named Interim Associate Vice President for Academic Affairs and Vice Provost of Missouri Southern State University.

McGrane came to Missouri Southern State University in 1999 and has served as the director of Spiva Library since 2003. She has demonstrated a high level of institutional service on campus, including serving four terms as the secretary on the Faculty Senate Executive Committee as well as assuming an active role on numerous other committees.

McGrane worked diligently in preparation for the most recent (2008) Higher Leaning Commission accreditation self-study and site visit, the Foundations of Excellence in the First College Year self-study, and has been involved with the universitys strategic planning.

She will replace Dr. Crystal Lemmons and begin her duties on July 1, 2015.

I am truly excited to continue to serve Missouri Southern in this new role, said McGrane. This position will enable me to focus on broad academic issues and to collaborate with many areas of campus. I am eager to get started.
