Bettine Clemen returns in concert

International solo flutist Bettine Clemen, pictured, accompanied by San Francisco guitarist Richard Patterson will perform "A Love Song for All Life" featuring light classics, Latin, pop and ethnic music combined with film of nature taken all over the world. The event benefitting the Sensory Garden of the Springfield Botanical Center will take place beginning at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 21, 2014, at the Springfield Art Museum, 1111E. Brookside Dr.

The concert will be followed by a wine and hors doeuvres reception and an auction of art work. Admission is $45 per person, Tickets will go on sale beginning on June 1st and may be secured by calling the Botanical Center at (417) 891-1515 or the Springfield Art Museum at (417) 837-5700.

The Sensory Garden will be an area of the Springfield Botanical Gardens at Nathanael Greene/Close Memorial Park that will embrace all the senses from taste, with an indoor/outdoor kitchen facility, to touch, fragrance, sound and sights. The gardens will be very accessible to handicapped persons, many set in raised beds. Ground will be broken for the project later this year.
