Architects named in St. Mary's re-build staff
Updated: 2012-12-23 15:43:50
RDG Planning and Design, an award-winning firm from Omaha, Nebraska, has been contracted as the architects of the new St. Mary Church, parish center, and school (grades pre-K through fifth grade), according to an announcement by the Roman Catholic Diocese of Springfield-Cape Girardeau. Both were destroyed in the May, 2011, category EF-5 tornado that struck the city.

The estimated cost of the building project is $13.5 million and will be undertaken on parish property at the intersection of West 32nd Street and South Central City Road, Joplin.

One of RDG's recent projects, Iowa State University's gym expansion and renovation in Ames, has received LEED Platinum certification. It is one of only two collegiate recreation centers in the U.S. to receive the top "green" certification.
