| The Carl Junction Junior High Mixed Chorus in recognition of its quality and high level of musicianship has been selected to perform at Carnegie Hall in New York City. Under the direction of Dr. Patrick Freer of Georgia State University, they will be part of a small number of choirs from the United States and Europe performing in the prestigious hall on Monday, April 13, 2009.
Locally under the guidance of Doug Campbell the choir has received 12 top ratings at various festivals during the last two years. In addition, 17 Carl Junction Junior High students were selected to the Missouri State Honor Choir.
