Historic quilts are wanted for festival

CARTHAGE Its time to contact Powers Museum, 1617 Oak St., if you want to enter a historic quilt (made before 1950s-60s) in this year's Maple Leaf Festival Quilt Show. The event will take place from October 3 to November 1, 2014, (Tues.-Sat., 10:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.; special Sunday opening on Oct. 19 from noon to 4:30 p.m.).

Call 417-237-0456 if you have questions or for more information. You may also email your name, location, and contact information with photo of your quilt here before September 1, 2014.

After hours tours of the quilt show are also available. Please call prior to the quilt show opening. Admission is by donation during public hours. After-hours admission of $2 is payable at the time of visit.
