| M/M Phelps named 2012 Maple Leaf Grand Marshals | nmyers | | Updated: 2012-08-23 10:21:44 |  | | | Pat and Carolyn Phelps of Carthage, pictured, strong supporters of numerous civic groups and private projects in their home town, have been selected as the 2012 Maple Leaf Grand Marshals. Their role, besides attending many festival events and riding in the parade on Saturday, Oct. 20, 2012, is to judge the 3 Minutes of Fame Lip Sync Competition.
The 46th Annual Maple Leaf Festival will begin on Friday, Oct. 12 and 13, 2012, with the Historic Downtown Art Walk and Maple Leaf 5K, 10K and Family Walk and end on Sunday, Oct. 21, 2012, with the Maple leaf CASI-sanctioned Chili Fest and new K-9 Leap and Dash. A variety of other activity also is being planned. |
