Updated: 2010-01-23 18:36:59
The No. 3 Bass Pro Shops Chevrolet Silverado will be driven by third generation driver Austin Dillon for the remainder of the 2010 NASCAR Camping World Truck Series, according to an agreement between Bass Pro and Richard Childress Racing. Other relationships included drivers Dale Earnhardt; Kevin Harvick; and Kerry Earnhardt, Dale's oldest son.

Austin, 19, is the grandson of Childress and the son of Mike Dillon, a former NASCAR driver and RCR's vice president of competition. A Clemons, NC native, Austin began his racing career in 2005 driving Bandaleros and Legends cars, progressing to dirt and asphalt late model cars by 2007 and earning rookie of the year honors finishing second in 2008 in the NASCAR Camping World Series East point standings.
