| Maketa earns Crowder leadership title | c-brown | | Updated: 2011-12-09 10:48:38 |  | | | Purcell Maketa, an international student from the Democratic Republic of Congo, was presented a student leadership award by the Crowder College Professional Staff Association. He has served as vice president of Phi Theta Kappa, president of the International Students Club, a representative of the Student Government Association, a participant in Skills USA and a member of the Baptist Student Union. He has been a part of the YMCA Food for Thought, Earth Day, the donation trailer for Joplin Tornado Assistance and Phi Theta Kappa's "No MO trash pick-up."
