I've played Grand Theft Auto IV, and there are a few instances where you can get drunk with a friend. However, the consequences for doing so is severe, causing massive dizziness and bluriness on the screen, and any cops within the area to pull the player over. The circumstances are so bad in drinking in GTAIV that I've never done it again. There's nothing glamorous about it: drinking in this game inhibits your ability to drive, as well as focusing the cops to your position.
