Just googled upon a bill signed by Gov. Blunt on July 13, 2007 that allows the city of Joplin to impose, upon voter approval, a retail sales tax of up to 0.5% to be used for nonprofit museums and nonprofit organizations (Joplin Museum Complex? Murphysburg Preservation? a yet to be organized Route 66 nonprofit? or just some political crony with a concept?) to develop, promote, or operate historical locations. Got that hourly wage increase...let's figure out how to take away some of that money.....
